Today was a much welcome sea day. We've been away from home for almost 3 weeks, and on the ship for 2. It was time again for laundry and just organizing our little 275 square foot cabin. So this was our day:
- Head down for coffee around 8:30
- Trivia @ 9:15 - How many time zones does South America have?
- After Trivia Tony stayed for the Veteran's meet & mingle - just an informal get together.
- Betty goes upstairs to do laundry
- Around 12:30 we head up to Horizon Court for Lunch. Winner. Winner. Chicken Dinner! Great seafood, pulled pork, and a taco bar for Tony. We didn't walk away hungry.
- Tony heads up to the room. Betty goes to the Piazza with Pat to watch the flash mob dance performed by passengers who have been practicing for the past two weeks.
- Back upstairs around 3:15 to rest up for the evening production show.
- Head back down to the theater @6:45 to meet up with Pat & Dean, Linda & Gordy for the 7:15 production show of The Secret Silk.
- Head over to the dining room for dinner.
Yep, and that's about it. Oh wait! Here's a good one. Princess has some darn good production shows in their theater. Last night we saw Motown. There are main four singers (2 male, 2 female) who perform in all of the productions throughout the cruise. Last night we saw their Motown production. One of the female singers had a familiar voice & I thought we had seen her while on another cruise.
Tonight's show was
The Secret Silk who's score was composed by Stephen Schwartz, composer of Wicked and the mythical puppets were created in Jim Henson's Creature Shop. It's is 50 full minutes of music, dance and stage scenes that equal anything on Broadway. In other words, its a big production. So big that we're even handed programs as we enter the theater.
As we waited for the show to begin I read the bios of the singers. The same singer who sounded familiar last night also looked familiar in her bio picture. And she had been in Miss Saigon, both in the US & UK. Little bells are going off in my head, Rob's wife, Jen went to school with a gal who went into theater and also performed in Miss Saigon in the US & UK. I remember Rob showing me some video of her a few years ago. I knew her name was Jen, almost all of Jen's high school friends were named Jen! So I texted them and damn, if this wasn't their friend, Jennifer Hubilla! Small world, isn't it!!
